AND WE'RE OFF....

Ok so a little back ground into this whole California move. My awesome husband Ty is really, really, really good at what he does. He is a virtual /marketing manager for a company that manages a lot of huge accounts. [we wont mention names] He started their virtual program from the ground up and it has now become one of the most successful marketing platforms that they have, how cool is that? Even, cooler he did this all remotely. It required him to travel quite a bit but it was working. Until one day they decided that he just had to be in the central office which is so conveniently located in Irvine, CA. So long story short we made a quick decision to move to California! This blog is for friends and family to stay in the know about our little journey. So to start lets go with the actual move itself...B was super confused the entire time and seriously didn’t know what to do when we started filling the house with boxes.

This was the last picture i look once we were in the car and getting ready to leave Utah. The moving process is never a fun one especially when you are a hoarder like me and Ty. I really dont know how we have so much stuff, it is still baffling. If it was for Tennli, who is an exceptional packer, Otis, Alex, Emily and Burke it would have never happened in 1 day. You would never have thought we were actually moving ;) I was nervous about the drive because quite frankly its long and then we had B. He has never been in the car more than a couple hours so I though 12 would be too much. We took it easy and decided to stop in Mesquite and stayed at the Virgin River the first night and do the second leg the last day. Seemed like the best for everyone, too bad we were way to exhausted to get any gambling in, i literally hit the bed after we ate as was out. The next morning we woke up early got some food to go and made the final leg B is a stud and just chillin the whole ride....

When we reached the state line i just had to get a picture it felt weird knowing that we were going to be a California residents! (It still feels like we are on vacation)
As we got closer i got excited and kept refreshing the map over and over and sending my brother updates.
I must say Cali is ugly when you first enter it....luckily the closer we got to the beach the better it got. When we arrived at our new little abode Ty's wonderful parents, who made the trip with us, helped us unload all of our crap into our tiny little apartment. It was a lot of work for 4 people and we managed to get it all in there in a good 3 hours. Now that isn’t unpacked but at least it was in the house. It was an exhausting week and if it wasn’t for my in-laws I would still have boxes all around the house. But hey you can beat this view right?
I'll post about the places we've been since we got here but this is a good start!
