festivities

So the last two weeks have been full of so many festivities!
We were so lucky to have visitors from home and then I was so blessed to have the most wonderful baby shower a pregnant momma could ask for!

First Uncle 0 & Aunt T came to visit. Well they were here for work, but hey why not stop by to say hi to your lil sis. We got to eat some yummy food, go to the beach and enjoy some quality Angel's baseball!

I wish i would have gotten some more pictures but i was able to snag this gem

Just enjoying some quality family time in Laguna!

And whats a baseball game without a big fat juicy hot dog, literally one of my favorite things...
They lost...BOOOO

Homeward bound the festivities just continued, and were just as fun. I need to start by thanking my amazing  step-mom for throwing my baby shower. She is absolutely wonderful and it turned out exactly how I wanted and i didn't have to decide a single thing. Thanks REXINE I love you tons.

Second how cute is my step-dad? My feet were swollen and I was having a hard time bending over to put on my shoes so before I left for my baby shower he put them on for me :) I just love him to pieces...more than you know!

My baby shower was beautiful, i wish i would have gotten more pictures but it was sooo good to see all of my friends and family that I have missed so much.
McCoy is one loved little man and got spoiled like s#*%!

THE CUTEST DIAPER CAKE EVER made by McCoy's lovely Aunt T! She knows me so well!

The only other picture I got was with one of the bestests Alex. I miss this girl! Our crazy nights, our long lazy Saturdays doing noting but laying at the pool, and of course being roomates!

Luckily the same weekend as my baby shower I was lucky enough to celebrate my Grandpa (Diddy) Nelson's 90 birthday! That man knows how to party and duh he looks freaking amazing doing it! I got to snap this pic of Gpa, my brother and myself.

Stole this one courtesy of my cousin....except who the hell knows where we are all looking

Haha I totally have my daddy's smile. We both have gigantic grins on our faces. Ya we are cheese balls.
Look at that sexy family! McCoy dont worry you will be attractive

I have to share this video with you guys this is my 90 year old gramps breakin it down with his choir at his party!

Then another one of my bestests, Mandi came to visit in Cali for a whole week!
We did plenty while this pretty lady was here... I was soooo sad when i had to drop her off at the airport. LOVE YOU FRIEND!

More baseball games, lots and lots of yummy food, beach days, comedy shows.... Here are some snippets....

Well there is the last few weeks in as short as detail I possibly could.

Oh boy sorry for no post last week, it was CRAZY! I will definitely post more on that later so many fun things happened, including my amazing baby shower but for now lets just take a look at that bump eh?

I am huge! I am getting so un-godly excited its not even funny. I wish i could got into labor right now and bring the little guy home tomorrow, but I know, I know he really has to cook a little bit no longer. But damn this momma doesn't like to wait for anything, i'm super impatient.

[Don't judge my crazy hair! Take in the scenery!]

How far along? 26
Total weight gain/loss: 20+ lbs
Maternity clothes? Mmmhmmm I LOVE maternity pants they are so comfortable. I still can wear some of my regular shirts, but my old pants ha yeah right!
Stretch marks? No, and I am so grateful!
Sleep: I have a little insomnia but once i am out, i am OUT
Best moment this week: My baby shower of course!
Miss Anything? Still just sushi really bad. And running, the morning out here with the ocean breeze are perfect for running but my belly just cant hang :(
Movement: Yup! He is a monster sometimes. Sometimes when he is on a roll my belly will get sore and i beg him to stop.
Food cravings:  Still just random stuff, nothing consistent.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope thank goodness.
Symptoms: Nothing :).
Have you started to show yet: Ya think?
Gender: Boy
Development: Beginning at this stage of fetal development, your baby's length will be measured from top of head to toe — which makes your baby nearly a full 15 inches now. And at just over two pounds, he or she has doubled in weight from four weeks ago.
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: My baby shower!

How far along? 27
Total weight gain/loss: 20+ lbs (not entirely sure
Maternity clothes? Maternity clothes all day er day!
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: I have a little insomnia but once i am out, i am OUT
Best moment this week: Going through all the baby shower gifts with Ty!
Miss Anything? Sushi, and caffeine  OMG i have been exhausted this week and just want a double shot latte from Starbucks... Damn me being responsible.
Movement: He is a machine. I am in for it when he gets here. I feel like he is going to run out of the womb.
Food cravings:  Today it was a sandwich. I just HAD to have one.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No sir.
Symptoms: Fatigue is coming back with a vengeance. I just want to sleep constantly. Hip flexor pain. It hurts to even walk to last two days which is really weird.
Have you started to show yet: Nope flat belly haha! This question is now just silly, i will find a new one! Any suggestions?
Gender: Boy
Development: Baby is still the size of the head of cauliflower. He is about 16.2-16.5 inches long and weighs in at about 2.5lbs.  Except i swear he is so much bigger! My little mans may be dreaming! Other impressive new talents being added to your baby's roster in the womb include coughing, more intense sucking, and, perhaps most important, better breathing. Of course, it's still best if a baby doesn't check out of that uterine hotel just yet — there's still a lot of growing and maturing to do over the coming weeks.
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Getting his nursery/my house ready for his arrival & My 4D ultrasound

25 Weeks....

Not too many updates this week. We had a really nice Easter, went to church, took the pup to the dog park and then had dinner with some friends and watch the season finale of Walking Dead. I have been spending time getting my ass kicked by school, which leaves the weekends for relaxation and recovery with my little fam!

Happy to report I should be done right around the time the baby is born, i am seriously so excited about that i cant even stand it.

My brother comes to visit this weekend through the middle of next week and of course that makes me freaking ecstatic.  Love getting to spend time with him, he is seriously one of my best friends. Then I get to make my way back home for my baby shower and family activities. And even more Mandi is coming to stay with me for a week after that!
I'm one happy camper! Cant let school get me down too much right?

[I feel like this dress makes me look like I am lugging around and extra 10lbs but hey its super comfy]

How far along? 25Weeks, 4 dyas
Total weight gain/loss: 20 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yup, yup planning on buying more this weekend. It's sometimes comical when i try to put on my regular jeans. I don't know why i think they are going to fit every other time.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I sleep like a rock.
Best moment this week:
Miss Anything? Sushi, sushi....SUSHI did i say SUSHI? RedBull, and running. I am surprised that I don't miss alcohol, but i seriously haven't wanted it.
Movement: Ya, his new favorite thing is beating the living crap out my belly button. You think it's cute, it'snot!
Food cravings:  Random things everyday i sweat. Cupcakes two nights ago!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing right now yay!
Symptoms: A little rib pain. I am so blessed to have such an easy pregnancy with minimal complaints.
Have you started to show yet: I'm huge....
Gender: Boy
Development: Baby is still the size of an eggplant.  He is about 9.2 inches long now (thank you for playing karate with my uterus McCoy) and weighs around 2 lbs.  Babies eyes, which have been closed for months are not beginning to open! His brain-wave activity it starting to kick in which means not only can he hear noises but he can respond to them. Really in a few short ways, movement and an increase in pulse rate.
Labor Signs: Nope

16 Week Countdown...24 Weeks

So we went furniture shopping last week on Saturday to look at some cribs and dresser, and the lady at the store totally freaked me out. She told me that we are cutting it close because we should be ordering our set now to have it in time. Whoa, whoa lady don't you know you aren't suppose to frighten pregnant woman you can put them into labor. Needless to say it has made us a little bit more serious about actually buckling down and  picking something out now!

So one of my biggest pet peeves about being pregnant is the stares i have been getting while i'm at the gym. It is phenomenal how many people give me nasty look like i am beating my child. Come on people i am just trying to be healthy and not gain too much weight! Nothing wrong with that.

How far along? 24 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 20 lbs
Maternity clothes? Uh huh! Tons of maxi skirts and dresses and comfy maternity leggings.
Stretch marks? No sir, lucky me!
Sleep: I sleep like a rock.
Best moment this week: The pure excitement that i have for meeting him is semi ridiculous. Ty said he loves seeing how excited I get and he is happy I am the one that he gets to raise his son with. That  by far has been the most amazing thing this pregnancy.
Miss Anything? Sushi, RedBull, and running. I literally cried the other day complaining that I couldn't train for a half marathon this year. It just feels weird not running.
Movement: Mmmmm Hmmmm
Food cravings:  Honestly nothing this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still just Triscuts and sometimes chicken.

Symptoms: Round Ligament pain. Its not as bad has it used to be lucky me!
Have you started to show yet: Ugh ya i'm a cow...
Gender: Boy
Development: Baby is the size of an eggplant.  He is about 9 inches long now (thank you for playing karate with my uterus McCoy) and weighs more than a pound and a half.  And don't look now (as if you could), but your baby's skin is turning pinker as small blood vessels form under the skin and fill with blood. Lungs and nostrils are also growing at this stage of fetal development.
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Ecstatic
Looking forward to: My baby shower.

Wait i only have 4 months left?? S*!%

Ok, ok so I technically have 4 months and 3 days but hey whose counting!

How far along? 23 Weeks, 4 Days
Total weight gain/loss: 20 lbs (I actually have been losing weight, don't worry it's not on purpose)
Maternity clothes? Uh huh! Still a mix and match. Maxi skirts, maternity leggings, pretty much only maternity shirts since everything is now a belly shirt.
Stretch marks? Nope! Last night i was doing my daily inspection and thought i saw one and was going to cry but luckily it was just the lighting ;)
Sleep: Still super good.
Best moment this week: Umm probably his non-stop kicking last night. He hasn't been very active since last Saturday and I was starting to get freaking out!
Miss Anything? Sushi, RedBull, and not worrying about if what i am going to put in my mouth is good for the baby!
Movement: Ya buddy.
Food cravings:  Chipotle burrito bowls, and strawberry ice-cream with caramel and white chocolate chips. Hey, don't knock it until you try it!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still just Triscuts and sometimes chicken.
Symptoms: Round Ligament pain, heartburn. Swelling went away thank goodness.
Have you started to show yet: It looks like a basketball was shoved under my shirt over-night.
Gender: Boy
Development: Baby is the size of an ear of corn. He is about 8 and a half inches (surely taller based on his last measurements) and weighs more than a pound and a half.  I have to be careful about what i am listening to on the radio this little man can hear all sorts of sounds now while in the womb. From air exhaling from my lungs, mine and Ty's voices, to honking horns and dogs barking!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy.
Looking forward to:  Meeting him! I wish it was tomorrow to be honest.

Breezy Second Trimester

The second trimester is said to be the easiest and so far that is proving to be true. To be honest though this entire pregnancy has been really easy. I am certainly one lucky soon to be momma!

How far along? 22 Weeks, 2 Days
Total weight gain/loss: 22 lbs (Yup 4 lbs this month! Go me...haha)
Maternity clothes? Uh huh! Maternity clothes are just so comfortable I hardly ever want to wear anything else. However, I occasionally do when I want to look semi presentable.
Stretch marks? No! Woo hoo, sAo far so good.
Sleep: Still super good.
Best moment this week: Ty being able to feel his kicks on the outside :) His eyes lite up. He was so excited!
Miss Anything? Sushi and RedBull. Nothing too crazy.
Movement: He is a monster, i think he purposely is trying to beat me up from the inside!
Food cravings:  Chipotle burrito bowls! OMG...I could eat those all day er day! (Of course extra spicy)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still just Triscuts and sometimes chicken.
Symptoms: Round Ligament pain, heartburn, minor feet & hand swelling.
Have you started to show yet: Bigger everyday!
Gender: Boy
Development: Baby is the size of a Papaya. This week marks the beginning of some serious weight gain. My babies weight in the next four weeks alone should double. (What does that mean for me?) Babies heartbeat can now be heard through a stethoscope. What a throb! My babies skin is now reddish in color due to the developing blood vessels. The skin also hangs loosely around his little body at this point. It's only because the skin grows faster than fat development. But no need to worry baby will plump nice and good before he gets here.
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, except I am starting to notice i am a tad bit sensitive!
Looking forward to:  Furniture shopping.

Come one come all

We LOVE having visitors. It is always so much fun to see those faces that we miss so much back home.

Two weekends ago we were so excited to have Gigi (Ginger) and Eric out to visit for the weekend. The flew in from an work trip Eric had in New York just to say hey! Long trip and tons of travel [just ask Ginger] for the short trip but we are so glad they made it. We went to dinner when we picked them up from the airport and then called it a night. The next day I was the best PDD [pregnant designated driver] anyone could ask for and took these three crazy kids bar hoping from beach to beach to beach. They were so much fun and seriously hilarious to watch.

 Huntington Beach Pier

Cabo Cantina is Ty's favorite drink spot! It's so cheap and as you can see you get a lot for your money. THANK YOU LIZ for telling us about it!

While we were at Huntington Beach before the bar....we stumble upon the coolest kite competition! Just tons of kites on the beach doing what they do to some good music. So we sat on the pier for a bit to watch.

Then after we left the bar on our way to dinner we stumbled upon this AMAZING sunset. First one I have seen while at the beach since we've live here. So cool...

Now last weekend we were lucky enough to go to San Diego and spend some time with Ty's cousin Cody who is stationed out there for the USMC. It was so good seeing him, and having family that close. We went to dinner and then the next day went to Sea World. Cody wasn't enthralled with what the park had to offer but hey at least he still came.

I am totally practicing my mommy skills by going to all these different theme parks to see if my kid will even enjoy it ;) I found myself having a little more patience for children, more than I typically do that is. I was certainly in stroller stalking heaven though! Who knew there were like 5 million different brands of strollers, not this momma.
